Our products and solutions not only meet the highest quality standards. We measure and verify the environmental impact of our products, continuously work on reducing our environmental footprint, and are also making progress in the use of renewable resources.

A sustainably produced product requires appropriate processes and structures throughout the entire value chain. Our goal is not simply to consume resources, but to use them responsibly and efficiently. Therefore, we are developing product concepts aimed at more efficient use of natural resources, improving product material efficiency, and ensuring environmentally responsible handling of chemicals and waste. These concepts will be implemented and integrated into our innovation portfolio in the long term.

We have set ourselves the goal of ensuring that all key LAPP product groups have a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). In addition, we are exploring the possibility of sourcing copper with a lower CO₂ emission level.

One important element in reducing our carbon footprint is the use of bioplastics. For example, ETHERLINE® FD P Cat.5e for Industrial Ethernet is the first Ethernet cable with a bio-based jacket. The carbon footprint of this special outer jacket is 24% lower compared to a conventional jacket made entirely from fossil-based raw materials.
