On behalf of LAPP, I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are currently safe and healthy.

Who would have thought just a few weeks ago that we would soon begin business letters with such phrases? A lot has changed since then. Borders around the world are closed, most countries have closed their public life, and the world economy is in standby mode. Coronavirus has changed everything dramatically in the blink of an eye.

With this letter I want to inform you how this whole situation affects LAPP.

Thanks to our international logistics and global presence, we felt the first impacts of coronavirus in Asia early in the pandemic. Therefore, in mid-February, we decided to form a coronavirus working group for the LA EMEA region (Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa), which allowed us to effectively respond to subsequent events.

Ensuring the safety of our employees while working with our clients is our top priority. We have taken various measures to ensure this safety, namely strict social distancing rules, a home office for those who can work remotely, and improved hygiene conditions in production and logistics. 

Both the above activities and our strong, decentralized logistics system with numerous central warehouses and large inventories allow us to keep our services up and running. Therefore, I am proud to say that we are fully capable and ready to deliver products to clients. However, both disruptions in the global logistics system and the temporary closure of certain LAPP subsidiaries due to local quarantine measures in those countries could impact us in the future. Therefore, we ask for your understanding if there are any delays in the delivery process.
